OpenShift 4 — administration 1: deploying and running applications
A container platform only delivers value once teams know how to deploy and run their applications on it. This first administration module covers project governance, application deployment, service networking, external exposure, persistent storage and authentication fundamentals.

- Navigate the platform web console and command line.
- Govern projects: quotas, limit ranges and templates.
- Deploy applications from an image and from a template.
- Manage persistent workloads and batch jobs with the workload API.
- Understand pod and service networks and expose applications.
- Provision persistent storage and configure an identity provider.

Day 1 — Architecture and governance
- Platform architecture, cluster operators and operating system
- Web console, command line and cluster validation
- Projects, quotas, limit ranges and project templates
Day 2 — Application deployment
- Deploying applications from an image and from a template
- Workload API: persistent applications and batch jobs
- Build chain, images and internal registry
Day 3 — Networking and exposure
- Pod networks and service networks
- Scaling and exposing applications externally
- Persistent storage: storage classes and volume claims
Day 4 — Registry storage and access
- Internal image registry backed by network storage
- Identity providers and directory integration
- Access control, security context constraints and workshop
