Ansible — the fundamentals of IT automation
Incidents rarely arise from a failing technology: they arise from divergent configurations and manual steps that cannot be reproduced. This hands-on course covers all of the Ansible fundamentals — inventories, playbooks, roles, secrets, hardening and application deployment — with a lab environment dedicated to each participant.

Day 1 — Concepts and first steps
- Agentless architecture, use cases and installation
- Configuration, privilege escalation and ad hoc commands
- Inventories: structure, host and group variables, dynamic inventory
Day 2 — Playbooks and variables
- Playbooks: tasks, handlers, conditionals, loops and error handling
- Variables, custom facts and Jinja2 templates
- Secret encryption and multi-credential management
Day 3 — Roles, security and deployment
- Roles, collections, tags and static analysis
- Automated hardening of a Linux server
- Application deployment, rolling update and rollback
