OpenStack Administration 2 — advanced operations and production
A private cloud is only as good as the way it is operated. This second module covers what separates a proof of concept from a production platform: proven control plane backup and restore, hardening, centralized identities, in-depth virtual networking, placement governance and investigation methodology.
Training objectives
- Operate the containerized architecture and troubleshoot the control plane.
- Back up, restore and validate the control plane recovery procedure.
- Harden the infrastructure: file integrity, management network, secrets.
- Integrate an identity directory and customize access policies.
- Operate the distributed virtual network and advanced network services.
- Govern instance placement and conduct a structured investigation.
Target audience
- Private cloud administrators and operators.
- Cloud architects and SRE engineers.
- Infrastructure platform managers.
Prerequisites
- OpenStack Administration 1 and hands-on cloud operations experience.
- Advanced Linux administration and container basics.
