RHOSO — Red Hat OpenStack Services on OpenShift
With RHOSO, Red Hat brings its OpenStack cloud and its OpenShift platform together: the control plane becomes a set of Kubernetes operators deployed on OpenShift, while compute nodes remain managed outside the cluster. This course presents that architectural shift and the full deployment of a RHOSO cloud.
Training objectives
- Understand the architectural evolution and the new lifecycle model.
- Master the role of operators and the custom resource model.
- Prepare the host OpenShift cluster: networking, storage and prerequisites.
- Deploy the control plane and provision external compute nodes.
- Integrate Ceph storage and design the platform network architecture.
- Operate the platform: scaling, backup, updates and troubleshooting.
Target audience
- Cloud architects and infrastructure engineers.
- Teams running a Red Hat OpenStack platform.
- Consultants supporting a private cloud modernization.
Prerequisites
- OpenStack knowledge and hands-on Kubernetes or OpenShift experience.
- Advanced Linux administration.
